Father's Day Weekend!

This past weekend Rich and I enjoyed a short vacation with the Vee side of the family. We went to Wisconsin Dells to camp. We stayed at a Yogi Bear Campground. Rich and I were able to use our tent for the first time!! We didn't do too much, but we had a great relaxing trip away from home. We went out on a DUCK boat tour, walked around the town, go-cart riding, shopping at the Tanger Outlet Mall, and swimming at the pool at our campground. We also hung around our campsite to relax and enjoy some time with our family. We spent Father's Day with my amazing father by Eating at the Ponderosa Steakhouse, driving 4 hours to Wells and then another stop to see my Grandma in the Nursing home while she recovers from knee surgery. We thank our family for such a great weekend! Hoping there will be more of those little trips in our future!

Our First Post

While all of our lives are ever changing and extremely busy, I thought that a blog would be a great way to help others stay up to date with our lives. Just a quick note to let you know what is going on in our lives at the current time!

Rich is an Irrigation Tech Foreman at Lipetsky's Landscape and Irrigation Company in Sioux Falls SD. He is putting in long hours during the summer, but loving what he is doing. He has been at this same company since we moved to Sioux Falls in September. He has learned a lot about different jobs the company holds and has moved his way up the ladder!

I, Sara, for the summer, am subbing for the Parks and Recreation Department for the City of Sioux Falls and doing a variety of different things. I have worked a few times lifeguarding at the pools, working open gym at the community centers, a few days/nights at the Skate Parks in town, and I have spent some time at the Playgrounds with the Playground Program. It has proved to be a great summer job for me. I am able to pick and choose my hours/days, and not feel as bad saying no to people who call!
I will continue to teach Early Childhood/Headstart for the Sioux Falls School District at Robert Frost Elementary this school year. I look forward to the move and a different building (although I did like where I was at) new experiences are always a good thing! I will continue to teach in a blended classroom which means I will have students ages 3, 4, and 5. The students will be a mix of regular education students and special education students! I am excited to meet my new students!
I have also found a job that is one of my passions....Cheerleading. I will be coaching girls grades 4th-6th with the Dakota Spirit Cheerleading Program. Dakota Spirit is a Christian Cheerleading Program. I am coaching in the Recreation League this year which means my job is to build the girls' developmental skills and get them ready for the All-Star League. My girls will do a few competitions, but mostly performances. I will be getting them ready to move to the All-Star League and ready for competitions galore! I have had a great time volunteering with this program from January-May and look forward to being a coach for this awesome program this coming season.

Well thats about all thats new with us for now...We will update more later!! Hope everyone is doing well! Take care!
